LAS VEGAS, Nev. (October 30, 2014) – Top 10 Top Alcohol Funny Car driver John Lombardo Jr. is back on the west coast to finish out the last three races of the 2014 NHRA Lucas Oil Series season, beginning with this weekend’s NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. While the NAPA Auto Parts/Lucas Oil-sponsored driver might not be spending Halloween night trick-or-treating, he has a few other plans set aside for the weekend.
Halloween plans? Of course! I am going to NYNY Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas before heading to The Strip, putting on my seven layer fire suit, and battling with 19 of NHRA’s toughest 260 MPH Alcohol Funny Car competitors in the country.
Why? One trip to the drags and you’ll know – prepare to be hooked for life. We’ll see you at NYNY and in the pits!” Lombardo said.
The team is hosting a customer group this weekend and is excited to share in their excitement!
John Lombardo Jr. and the Jackson Lombardo Racing Top Alcohol Funny Car team will take to the track for Friday’s qualifying session at 11:15 AM. Two more sessions follow on Saturday at 11:45 AM and 3 PM. First round of eliminations is scheduled for 9 AM Sunday morning.
